yeah you can drop the stanchions if you want, you can also buy a flat crown (i have one spare if you need one lol, theyre quite sort after) but i mean, the stinky is perfectly fine with 8" up front, just because it's got 7" on the back! It is built for long travel forks so i wouldn't worry about it! I did ask up at konaworld.com and loads of people run standard 8" forks (boxxers, 888s, fox 40's etc) on stinkys with no problems!

Its single pivot.theres some different mounting positions where the shock meets the swingarm to adjust b,b hieght...I think! got it second hand for sh*ts & giggles,i live in the flattest part of the u.k!

Ahaha, love your comment on the D2's lol. First, I was scared too to put stickers on it, but I can't ride with a stock helmet or a stock bike... I'v got to pimp everything... Actually, the Chito one is to my buddy, mine is just the Peaty one. But I pimped both undersides of the visor (on my Peaty and one my friend's Chito).
